To the left sits Edward Marsh, WSC’s Private Secretary, also wearing formal dress, with his top hat in his hand, while on WSC’s other side sits Major-General Harry Barron [Commander of the Royal Artillery, Malta], in uniform, and beside him is Colonel Gordon Wilson [the husband of WSC’s aunt, Lady Sarah Wilson, earlier Lady Sarah Churchill], in a dark suit. The other two men on either end of the line, also in uniform, are not identified.
